| YAMAHA SG-1000-24 1983 Made MIJ JV It's a very rare color Yamaha SG-1000-24. From serial, it should be made in 1983. I have checked the data of Yamaha SG, but Yamaha only offered Cream white and Red Color on their catalog. This model was developed based on SG-1000N, therefore the body thickness should be 48-49mm. However, this guitar has 52mm thickness The color/thickness are different from catalog, but serial number is showing 1983 made. Probably, custom made or very few test color products Scale : 628mm(24F) Control : 2V(Direct Circuit 2T(Direct Circuit w/Bi-Sound Switch) Body : Maple + Mahogany Neck : Mahogany Set Neck Finger Board : Ebony Tuner : Di-cast with Torque control (Gold) Weight : 4.1Kg The condition of this guitar is good enough as 24 years old guitar. I have checked the neck condition, truss-rod, electric circuit and other areas. Generally, all fine. Fret should be 80% level, still O.K. Major damage is on peg head. About 3X4mm dent on it. Also Pear Inlay area's top coated paint are bit damaged. The small dents and scratches are on. Please check from the photos. 3 pcs Volume and Tone potentiometers indicator plate are gone. The sound is typical SG tone. The front PU has been move to bridge side because of 24Frets board. But the sound is almost same with 22frets type When I select the single by Bi-Sound switch, I felt the output is small compare with the humbacking time. Please enjoy Yamaha Vintage SG ! |
