| YAMAHA SG-1500 1981 made Yamaha started SG-1500 in 1981. This is though neck construction. It is different from SG-2000 (T-Cross one-piece neck) construction. SG-1500 haven't got the pickguard. Yamaha thought about the visual looking to show the though neck construction from the top.The standard colors are transparent Red/Green, oil stain type color only. I do not have a big sound difference between SG-1000 and 1500. This guitar has a bit clear tone and long sustain. But maybe I have a prejudice for the neck construction. I have checked all and replace the bridge and tailpiece from my stock (both are new one from Yamaha). It looks pretty good. We could see small dent and scratches, but not really visible. Pretty good condition as 40 years old guitar! Original hard case is included. You could try it! |
