YAMAHA SG-3C Guitar (Egg Plant Guitar)

This is Yamaha SG-3C guitar. Here, many people call this guitar as an egg plant guitar.
Overseas people call this guitar as a Banana guitar.
Anyhow, this guitar is very unique designed. But it is very tough to play, when you sit down on chair.
It was part of a small group of original designs introduced by Yamaha in 1968, these included the Yamaha SG-5A.
However, both guitars were completely different design. The SG-3C has a bolt-on maple neck, rosewood fingerboard.
The machine heads were open geared types, and chrome plated.
It had 22 frets, plus a zero fret - with an overall scale length of 630 mm. It is 3.75 kg.
Pickups look like two closely spaced single coils (probably combined as a humbucker) at the bridge and a single coil at the neck.
These are controlled by volume and tone knobs and a three-way selector switch. All are mounted on a white plastic pick-guard.

The condition of this guitar is proper.
The control knobs are replaced. Maybe the tremolo spring was replaced too.
The tremolo arm is missing. The electric circuit are fine.

The neck is proper condition. The frets (0 fret) are worn but still O.K. for playing. The nut width is 42.3mm
No idea about the body material. It should be Nato wood Yamaha used a lot. The neck is maple.

Well, JV history teller guitar.

Please enjoy Yamaha Vintage SG
