YAMAHA SA60 1973-77 made Semi-Acoustic Guitar

Yamaha developed many original guitars against Gibson and Fender during 70's.
Late 70's, they changed the policy and made Strat and Les Paul replica.
However, by that time, they were always looking for the original design.
I think they did those as a pound of NO.1 musical instruments manufacturer.

Early SA series have a serial numbers at the end of finger board.
This guitars serial is starting from 2, so I could estimate it was made in 73 or 74.

The catalog data didn't tell us the detailed. It said

Price : JYE 65,000
Finger Board : Rosewood
Neck : Maple
Tuner : Yamaha Original Diecast

The body is probably laminated Sycamore wood. Most of semi-acoustic guitars used it.

About the sound, you could get some sample on WEB. This guitar shows very sweet tone.
I like the neck PU tone. It is more sweet than Gibson ES-335 or later Yamaha SA series.
Well, suitable to use for Jazz music.

The condition is fair. The body has a bit dents and scratches but not really serious.
I think for wood construction hasn't got any damage. The set neck condition is well.
No paint cracking around connection part.

NO parts missing. I have changed only strap pin. It was missing.
Beside this, I think this guitar fully original.
The hard case is also Yamaha Original SA case.

Many people look for vintage SA60 or SA90.
This is one of good condition SA60.
