YAMAHA SF-7000 Original Designed Through Neck Guitar
You got an impression that Yamaha was only making the SG for Santana. Maybe SR strat type and LP model.
Actually, Yamaha made many kinds of original guitars besides these guitars.
Well, like SF series, this series was their original design.
This series sales was not really successful, like SGT did.
However, I have heard that many Japanese studio guitar players used this series for their studio works.
The sound of SF is pretty cool. The body was made by Maho and Maple (4Kg
weight) The neck is Maho and Maple too with
though neck constructions (42.9 mm nut width). The grip like C but slightly
thin.The finger board is Ebony made.
3 Way selector and 2V2T with push switch to select the PU Humbucking/single.
From the serial number, we could estimate this guitar was made in 1981.
As 30 years old guitar, this is very good condition, we could say Mint condition.
The metal parts were a bit rusted but these are still shining.
I have changed only knobs to new Yamaha staff from my stock (these are original Yamaha made).
The original case are including the price. The condition of this case is
fine as 30 years.
You could still use it.
Well, it is very rare now to see good conditioned vintage Yamaha.
