| Tokai Stratocaster 1981-82 made 62 model Blue Metallic Modified This is late 70’s made Springy Sound Strat. The previous owner modified this guitar as HSS type. The PU cavity was made by router. It is not hand cut expansion. The pick guard and electrics were changed. So, I have replaced all components to the new one. 1) Pick Guard New Pearl HSS type (US SM import) 2) 3 CTS potentiometer w/vintage color inch size knobs 3) Oak Grigsby 5 Way selector switch w/knobs 4) USA Mojotone Capacitor 5) Belden Silver Coated Copper Wire w/WBT Silver contents solder 6) Switchcraft Output Jack 7) New Screws The Neck and Middle pick up are Tokai original U stamped. The bridge pick up Is 70’s made USA made DiMarzio Super Distortion PU (pretty old, hand wired type). (I didn’t cut the wire, because you may have a chance to use this pick up for other your guitars such as Les Paul). The neck is straight. Truss-Rod is adjustable. Frets are not really worn. At the peg head, there are small holes which used for string tensioners by previous owner. I have treated them. Anyway, good feel standard C grip. The body is blue metallic colored. This is original color. The body has several small dents. 2 small dent (hole/) are under the body surface under the tremolo unit, please refer the pictures. Body material is should be Japanese Ash (Sen) and it is 3.56Kg weight The sound is pretty good. The Bridge Humbucker gave us a heavy tone. Well, please try the vintage Tokai !!! |
