Specifications (MFG catalog & Actual Check)
GRECO SE-700 1979 Fujigen made 66 Model This is good condition SE-700. Actually, I'm not sure this is really SE-700 or not. The serial said it is 1979 Fujigen made, however, the head stock has "Super Sound" marked. "Super Sound" mark is used for SE-600 in 1975-76. From 1978, it should be "Early Sixties". From 1979, it became "Super Real". Also, this guitar has only one string guide on the head. This type is not listed on the catalog. Well, there are some possibilities that this is custom made... Other points are that this guitar has the brass nut. It is also not standard. Well, the body looks like 1P (I could not find out the joint part). I could not tell you this is 100% 1P body, but it looks like pretty much. When, I get this guitar, the electric circuits was changed by previous user. So, I re-wind with brand new Gotoh Pots, Belden wire, Orange drop, Oak 5 ways and switchcraft out put jack. These made this guitar tone really good. The PU is original Greco. I felt the fret surface are bit rough, maybe, the previous user did and bit level. It is fine to play. Well good guitar anyway. If you would change the lasted high grade Fender original PUs on, it should be better than current original Strat. We will ship the guitar with used Gig bag. Enjoy JV guitar! |
