Fernandes F-II Original Design Though Neck Guitar It is pretty good condition Fernandes F-II though neck guitar. I guess this model should be made by Kawai. Fernandes started the contract with Tokai as OEM supply around 1977/78. However, they kept the contract with Kawai too. I could remember that Kawai offered many though neck design guitars in late 70's. I feel the construction of F-II is similar with Kawai. This model was very expensive in 78. It was JYE 130,000 yen as list price. Well, It was very expensive, just like 2 months salary of new business guy. The body material (Top/Back) is probably Maple. The main body is probably Mahogany. The neck material should be so. Peg head has maple top. No idea about the finger board material. Should be rose wood. The tuner is originally Grover 102 but broken. So I replaced it to new Grover same model. The bridge is Badass. The 6st string saddle screw stopperr is missed, but you could play it, of course. The selector switch was broken, so replaced with switchcraft selector switch. The mount rigs were cracked. I put the new mount rings (the screw holes on the body were adjusted). The control knobs were missing, so replaced with new one. Therefore, this guitar is not complete original, but mostly original condition. The neck is straight, truss rod is adjustable, frets are not really worn. The scale like Gibson LP type with 24F. The body weight is 3.72Kg. Well, great Fernandes original guitar ! Please enjoy JV Guitar ! |
