Fernandes Explore Model REX-80 1980 Made
This is proper condition REX series. It probably made by Tokai.
I have Greco (Fujigen) made EX-800.
I could tell you that Fernandes Explore model is much better quality guitar.
The main reason is body material. Fernandes use the Maho body (probably 3P) and Maho neck. Greco use the
SEN Pancake 3-4P body and maple (3P) neck.
The sound is completely different. Greco shows us more high (Clean) tone. Not like Gibson original.
The neck is very thin. Fernandes shows us more sweet & Dry tone. The neck is fat than Greco (closed to SG type guitar).
The weight of this guitar is 3.98Kg
When I got this guitar, the tuner was changed to Grover and PU was not original (pretty noisy PU were).
I hate the tone and changed them to brand new Gotoh HB Classic PU with Pots.
This is much better closed to original VH-1 PU, anyway.
The Bridge and Tailpiece were changed by previous owner.
It should be Gotoh made. The tuners were changed to Grover Mini (have some holes for previous tuners).
The neck and frets are proper condition with 44.6mm nut width.
The truss rod is adjustable.
This is not original condition. However, it is tuned as player use.
