Fernandes FTE-70 Tokai Made Telecaster Custom This Telecaster should be made in 1978-79 by Tokai. As you may know, the logo mark (Stone Logo type) were made by Tokai as OEM base. The body material is Mahogany due to their old catalog. Probably so. But I'm not sure the detailed. The body paint is Violin finish, Fernandes said. It is very thin paint. You could see wood grain. It looks like lacquer paint. Well, grain like Mahogany. The weight is 3.59 The neck is maple 1P with 42.2 mm nut width. The grip is like C. The finger borad is 7.25 inch. The electric circuits are probably original except the selector switch. Maybe it was changed by previous user. The pick ups are original. Old Fernandes has a narrow pitch PU. This is exactly narrow type. The pick guard was missing. I put the current Fender size on. It can be sit, bult slightly size are different. So, I didn't put it. (you could choise your favorite). The tone of this guitar is not really Telecaster. It is more warm tone, like Les Paul. Maybe the body wood make this tone. Well, we will shop this guitar with used Gig bag |
