Fernandes 1975 Kawai made Stratcaster model
This Fernandes strat is earlier Kawai production.
It has the bonded Maple Finger board and very heavy weight body with Silver heart body in 2PLY 3P body.
I think they refer the weight of Fender USA original that time.
The previous owner has modified the circuit a bit and changed the tuner. He added the capacitors for
volume control. It made slightly different tone when the volume turned
lower.
I do not need such and change it for ON/OFF switch of Middle PU.
1975 made Fernandes FST is 3 way switch (it is not so easy to change the current pitch
selector switch). So, I added.
The tuner is replaced with Greco Rotomatic type. It has star mark.
Also, the paint was horrible. So, I have asked sub-constructor
to repaint.
It is pretty dry tone. The weight is 4.67Kg the nut width is approx. 39.9mm.
Well, 40 years old guitar.
If you are collecting all era Fernandes, this could be good for earliest Fernandes Stratcaster.
