Vantage 955BA 5 strings bass
This bass maybe not Matsumoku made. Wll, Vantage is just brand name were
registered by JEM Indsuties Ltd. , Canada.
They are the musical whole sale and distribtion corp both Canada and USA.
In early days, Matsumoku used the vantage brand for overseas market.
Probably, it just like OEM base business for JEM.
Well, this bass is probably Korean Samick made products. Matsumoku was
bankrupted in 1987. Therefore, after 1987,
it should be Korean made or others.
I have a few Matsumoku made Vantage guitar. These are pretty good instruments.
Looks like Aria Pro II very much. Korean Vantage is not really great works.
I had 2 guitars, but gifted for my friends.
About a few months ago, I saw this bass. I felt this is not Japanese made, but I bought it.
Becasue I want to have 5-string bass. I had a Fernandes 5 string before,
I sold it.
Anyhow, I would like to het 5 string.
The qulity is not so bad. The neck is not really wide type. A bit wider
than 4-string. So, I need some practice.
However, sound is fine. I like it very much,.
