GRECO GOB-700 1978 Fujigen made This bass was made by Fujigen. It is just a sister bass with Ibanez bass. Ibanez started the musician series in 1978? This Greco bass started the same time. Probably, one of Greco or Ibanez brought the plan of though neck type bass. As you may know, Alembic bass was pretty popular in the States. The guys at Fujigen meeting room discussed what kinds of though neck series could be popular. I'm not sure how the meeting between the said three parties was. Anyway, both brand used the same neck materials to reduce the cost. So, GOB is much closed to the musician series bass. Many bassist loves the musician series. <Specifications> BODY --- Castor aralia / Castor aralia / Castor aralia NECK --- Maple / Walnut 5P FINGERBOARD --- Rosewood , 20frets, nut width 42mm SCALE --- Long Scale PICKUPS --- Humbuckers CONTROL --- 1Volume 2Tone Weight --- 4.94Kg The tone is typical though neck type.
