Blade Levionson (Japanese Made)
This is not really Japanese brand bass. However, I got this bass because it is MIJ bass.
Blade is still existing in Switzerland and offering the good quality guitars
and basses.
In 80's (middle - late), many custom guitars were sold in here.
I'm not sure which Japanese company was distributing Blade.
After checking many source, Blade was distributed by Tune guitar Technology. If so, they were distributed by
Deviser Co., Ltd. which is currently distributing BUCCHUS guitars.
Levison was sold like custom order guitar/bass here. At the music store, they have order sheet to fill in the
end-user requirements. Generally, their bass was call as B2 series. Well, they made many kinds of body materials.
These are mostly high quality woods.
When this bass came my office, the electric circuits were damaged and Bridge was changed.
However, the sound is pretty good. I just check the circuits and repaired (1 pot was changed) and
put the BADASS Brass bridge. Now, this bass is really good tone.
Of course, I have changed the screws and jack plate in gold color.
The body is probably Ash 2P has bit flame pattern (4.7Kg) Neck is Maple 1P (39mm Nut width) with a bit
flamed pattern too. The body shape is almost like Fender JB, but has a different shape around neck plate.
It made us to play easier at high position. The neck is maple 1P with Rose Finger Board.
It seems to be straight now.
