Fender Japan JB62 Model JV Serial
I'm not sure this bass is fully original JV serial bass or not.
I got it as JV serial bass from the seller. However, after checking the detailed,
I found several points.
1) The neck end hasn't got the production data written by pencil. It looks somebody polish
the neck end and got a bit black spraying. On the other hand, we could see "made in Japan"
under Fender logo on the peg head. It seems to be very early made (JV time) Fujigen made.
2) Body should be alder, but it hasn't got the stamp, Well, sometimes, they forget to stamp it,
so it is not issue, but the on the neck pocket side, small paper was sticked.
It said "Fender".
I know the Fender USA made (replacement) body has it.
3) Neck joint hole was re-holes (only bottom directions). Somebody made them for adjusting hole position.
I could not ask previous owner detailed. However, I felt this is not complete original JV serial bass.
The parts are pretty much like original. Tuner is reversed type. The bridge
saddle is spiral type.
The PUs wires and circuit were changed to vintage type. These wiring is not original.
Well, neck plate has the JV serial stamp.
It looks not really great. What I mean not like brand new. It looks like vintage type.
There are many scratches and dents. But these made more vintage looks.
The pick guard was took off.
The tone is pretty good like real vintage JB, I like.

I could offer this bass lower price than original JV.
