EL Maya Precision Bass Junior model
EL Maya is one of JV legend brand here.
This brand was distributed by Rokkoman which is a leading distributor of
classic acoustic
guitar even now. In 70's Rokkoman handled electric guitars and basses due to the market demand.
I have been collecting the El Maya guitars and recently got this bass guitar.
This is Junior model, therefore, grade like Greco 420, Yamaha 400 and so.
However, the wood material looks good.
When I got this bass, it was very regret but the original PU was damaged.
Therefore, I have replaced the brand new Gotoh PB Classic on.
It became pretty good tone bass, anyway.
The SEN body in 3P. It is about 3.6Kg weight.
The neck is maple 1P (head 2P) with bonded maple finger board.
When I changed the PU, I have changed all electric circuits.
The body hasn't got serious dents and scratches. There is an extra strap screw hole on the
horn part. The knobs and screws are replaced too.
Well, this bass is not completely original condition. Just renew all necessary parts.
Good JV bass, anyway.
We are going to ship this bass with used gig bag.
