R.K. Herby Jazz Bass
Well, R.K. Herby is the collaboration products between Roland and Kasuga in mid. of 70's.
I'm not sure the reason why. Anyway, this brand was made made before their
Guitar Synthesizer
GR series. I could not find out the catalog of R.K. Herby. However, I knew
that they made
the Strat, Les Paul, ES-335, TV and some bass replica.
Their Les Paul was pretty good-looking, I remember.
The body was made by Kasuga. The electric components were developed by Roland.
Well, the pick up of this bass is a different design from Fender type pick up.
The tone ...Well, I felt that the balance of neck and bridge PUs are not
really great.
I like the neck PU tone.
I have changed the bridge to the new one. The original one is so rusted.
Probably, the body is sen 2PLY and 3-4P body just like Yamaha Pulsar bass.
It is 4.45Kg. The neck is pretty much like JB shape. The nut width is 36.85mm.
The frets are a bit worn.
Well, this bass is the history teller.
