Aria Pro II PE-800 This is probably made in 1978. There were PE-1500, PE-1000, PE-800 and PE-600 as mass production. The first PE was made in 1976 as Proto type Line. I have several PE-R80 guitars. However, I like this design better than R80. The tailpiece and Bridge are same unit. I don't like the tail piece of R80, because the string are dropped often when I change the strings. This is much easier than later model. I didn't expect the good tone for this guitar because R80 have the Dimarzio PUs. I feel the original PUs are no really great. However, when I played this guitar, I realized it is pretty good tone. It is not loudly, like good Jazz guitar. Don't know reason why this body shows like this sound. The specifications are (refer Aria ProII Catalog) : Body - Ash Binding - Ivory Top - Carved Arch Back - Contoured Neck - 3 Ply Maple Fingerboard - Rosewood Machinehead - MG-55C Pickup - Protomatic - IV The condition is proper as 30 years old guitar. There are some dents and scratches. You could see them on the photos. The metal parts are bit rusted, but still look not so bad. The neck and frets are fine. You don't need to change the frets so far. The simple electric circuits are well too. It is cool, isn't it? The guitar will be delivered with Aria Original PE hardcase. This hard case also give you good vintage guitar feeling! |
