| Guyatone Stratocaster Model Small Head 54 type Guyatone is a leading manufacturer of Guitar Tube Amplifier in 1970-80's. They offered many good tube AMP, I remember. Guyatone has a long history as guitar manufacturer too. The company was established in 1956 as Tokyo Sound Co., Ltd. Guyatone is just trade name. They offered both guitars and AMP. Probably, in 1960's, it was a first golden time of electric guitar here. They offered the guitars like Moslite, EKO, Vox, Rickenbucker style & etc.. So, many collectors here are looking for these guitars. (I'm not interested). Getting into 70's, Guyatone started to make the replica guitars. They made many replicas. This is one of their good replica. I think they made Les Paul, Tele, SG and etc... And also, they made several original design such as Glory, Malory and others. I'm not sure which manufacturer made Guyatone guitar. But after checking the body inside, I felt this one made by Kasuga (Heerby) or Chushin (Later Fresher). This guitar is generally good condition and very rare original Fiesta Red colored. Probably, all original condition. The neck is straight and frets are proper condition with standard C shape. The body is Ply wood with 3.6 Kg. The volume pot was changed to CTS by previous user. It isnot really great replica. HOwever, the sound is good. You could enjoy this guitar well. |
