Gallan Les Paul Custom Model It is very old guitar. I saw Gallan guitar first time at music store when I was Jr. High. So, it is almost like 40 years ago. I got Gallan catalog from the shop and read it how many times. Of course, I didn't know Gibson and Fender that time. It was a first time for me to see the real electric guitar. Now, I could see Galan Les Paul CTM. It is not really great replica. The body is PLY wood. I wonder it takes mush time to make a body by PLY wood bonding. Also, the hollow body (Well, top wood was bent by heating to shape the arched top). I feel it is much more cost compare with solid wood. But everybody done PLY wood body Like Morris, Teisco, Guyatone... Anyway, this is PLY wood body guitar but the neck is set-neck type. The tone is pretty powerful and great. Maybe, you could not feel this is PLY wood body, if you won't open the back panel. The grip is standard thin. The frets are fine condition. I have changed only selector switch to Switchcraft brand new with knob. That's all. (Output jack plated maybe replaced by previous owner). Galln was a top model series of Kyowa (as you know Kyowa distributed Frehser, Camel, Gallan and later Argus). It is very historical Les Paul model. Please try Japanese Vintage guitar! |
