SHIINO CUSTOM (SHIINO SOGYO - PACO Shibuya) This guitar is very rare and I should say this is almost like brand new. According to Mr. Shiino, this guitar was made Late 70's and early 80's. This brand name was limited to produce an American whole seller. (He told me many history, but I could not remember it clearly). Well, I've heard that he could not use Vesta Graham brand name by contract with other American distributor. So, This American company asked him to put Shiino Custom name on head. So, most of production were shipped for the States market. However, we could see a few this brand guitar in the market (maybe less 10 units). Maybe, he added a few units for sale at Paco Shibuya guitar shop. Well, this guitar was recently assembled at PACO 1977 shop. We have a dead stock body. We assembled it. Actually for me. So, we juts put Grover tuner, Gotoh PU Classic, Gotoh Bridge and Tailpiece. The electric circuits is mostly CTS and Switchcraft. The body is Spruce wood with tiger flamed. The neck is mahogany 1P. The shape standard U but for high position, feel like soft V. The body has the center block. So, it make pretty clear tone. I like this guitar very much. I do not have an intention to sell this guitar. Just keep it for exhibit purpose. |
