Westminster Stratocaster (Matsumoku Made) Westminster guitar was distributed by Kanda Shokai same with Greco Guitar. Kanda shokai shifted Greco manufacturer from Matsumoku to Fujigen. I think Kanda asked them to produce Westminster for Matsumoku The product position is lower than Greco brand. I think this range should be against Fresher, Franpton and other lower price range products. Therefore, this stratocaster is not really great replica. The Tremolo block is not iron block. It was made by pressed metal plate like early time Kiso musical instruments. Maybe, both of them are used same part manufacturer OEM The nut is not grooved type. Just like Gibson type. Early Fresher guitar has the same design. So, this is not really Start sound. A bit light tone (bottom tone is weak). But it depends on the music you would play. The neck, frets and electric circuit are proper condition. Westminster is one of real JV guitar in 70's. |
