Hisonus Stratocaster 72 model Hisonus guitar was distributed by the Weston music in 70's. The manufacturer is Chushin Gakki. When I was young, I never seen this guitar at shops. I knew the brand name, but most of player thought Greco, Fernandes, Tokai, Aria, ESP and Yamaha are good quality Others. I didn't pay attention. I have been looking for the good condition Hisonus. Finally, I got this guitar. When I got this, I felt it is much better than my expectation. The neck grip is pretty standard U shape. Almost same feel with Fender original. The neck joint is made by 4 screws type. Chushin did good works. Well, list price is JYE 65,000 for over 30 years ago. It is almost same price with other model-upper class guitars. I have rebuilt this guitar as follows : 1) Pickguard 2) Bridge Saddle (70's made Fernandes) 3) Selector Switch Oak Grigsby 5 Way 4) Japanese made Potentiometers 5) Spruge Orange Drop Capacitor 6) Belden Silver coated wire 7) Switchcraft Jack 8) WBT Silver contents solder The neck is straight. But the frets are worn. You need to re-fret in near future. The nut is low now. This should be changed soon (1st string is too low now). Body had many dents and scratches too. I didn't change the frets and nut. If I would do it, the prcing will be much higher. Anyway, it is still fine to play. Great JV Guitar ! |
