Fender Japan ST-62-85 Strat MIJ Fujigen 1983
This is Fujigen era Fender Japan, JV serial. I have been keeping this guitar
for several years.
I like this era Fender Japan.
After Fender USA/ Kanda Shokai/Yamano Gakki started the Fender Japan as
Joint venture, they asked Fujigen Gakki to
produce Fender Brand Guitar. Kanda Shoki had a business relation with Fujigen as Greco. Fender USA asked them to stop
Greco brand Fender model guitars. Then, Kanda started the Fender Japan distribution widely.
They asked Fujigen to produce most of Fender Japan.
My friend in Fujigen told me, Fender USA hasn't got even complete drawing
of old guitars.
So, Fujigen engineer started to measure many old guitars to check and made
CNC software.
Many story teller mentioned why Fender Japan changed Fujigen to Dyna (or
Tokai).
As far as I knew, Fujigen made quality trouble several times, and Kanda
decided to transfer it for Dyna.
Probably, this is true story. Maybe, they had argument on compensation
for sales damages.
I have heard more detailed, but it is not necessary to mention here, anyway.
Back to this guitar. When I get it, this guitar has a few modifications.
Maybe previous owner pu the string tension bar on
head. So this guitar neck head has 3 small screw hole. I have already fixed
them,you could see.
These 2 points I found after getting this guitar. But it was more than
3 years ago.
I have been using this guitar personally, just changed the tremolo inertia block to solid steel which I made.
Pretty cute guitar. Now, JV serial price is poping up. But this guitar,
I have been used, so I offer proper price.
