HONEY SG-5 Around 1968 made HONEY was established by formal Teisco stadd in 1967. Well, it was a time Kawai just took over Tesico facotry. They made several replica model. At the beggining, Honey started the amilifier, but soon be, they srated the guitar production. Probably, Mstsumoto Teisco compay was the builder (to avoid complcations, this Matsumoto Teisco was also independet from tesico when Kawai merged them). Honey was very short life company. In 1969, many guitar manufacturers were bankrupted by recessions. This Rick model is not like Greco or Fernandes replica. Both of them are pretty good replica, as you may know. Honey is good but they didn't copy them well. As a guitar, this is pretty fancy. I like it. the sound is not like other Rick replica. Just like semi-acoustic. One of knob is missing. I will replace it when I shipping it. It may be no letters on knob top. I'm not sure the body material. Some old catalog said Japanese maple body. The neck is straight and 39mm nut width. The frets are proper condition. I have checked all inside and cleaned this guitar. Well, this guitar is collection guitar. I do not like someone play this guitar as main guitar. Hope, the buyer will keep this guitar with condition and proper continuous playing. These will be very helpful for this guitar. |
