Washeburn (Chushin Gakki made) MG-700 Guitar
The Washburn guitar is American company. They asked Chushin Gakki (Bankrupted
in 2011) to supply as OEM base.
Maybe you knew, Chushin Gakki made Jackson, Fresher and others. Well, I think they made many good guitars.
Spend a bit time about the guitar manufacturers. Many guitar manufacturers here are having the hard time now.
The guitar sales in Japan has been dropped a lots.
The major guitar factories are Fujigen, Terada, Dyna, Tokai, Aska and Morris.
I think most of them are making OEM brands. The sales of own brands were not enough to maintain the company.
So, they are taking the orders from trading companies or guitar shop's
(like limited model).
They are also supplying for the US brands too. So, your Gibson, Fender, Gretch and ???...came from ?
Anyhow, this should be 1995 made by Chushin. Washburn brand (Grover Jackson Design).
At the Beginning, this guitar was made by Chushin, but later, the production was transferred for
Korean and Indonesian.
This MG-700 is really good guitar. The tuner is Grover 205, Floytrose licensed
bridge is used.
The neck is a bit wide type and fat compare with Stratocaster (Rosewood 22FD324 Scale Nut 43.5mm).
The body is a Book Matched Sycamore TopCAlder Back. It is 3.56Kg
The electric components are original and fine. The Tone has tap switch for bridge humbucker.
