H.S. Anderson MADCAT HS-2 Many people were talking about H.S. Anderson Guitar. Yes, H.S. means Mr. Hidesato Shiino, you maybe knew it. Now I'm working with him and managiong the guitar shop in Tokyo. I sometimes asked him about old days. Of course, I could not tell everything here. But I could tell that many comments on WEB sites are true or not. This HS-2 is probably made in 1974. It should be last production lot, Mr. Shiino involved. He started ESP in 1975. So, around this year, he concentrated ESP foundation. However, this guitar was made at same factory (closed to Morris) that time with famous Madcat. From the Logo mark, this strider is made in 1974. It means that it hasn't got serial number. From 1975, H.S.Anderson started the serial number. However, they used 2 type of logo mark. One is solid black another one is gold lined logo. From 1975. most of H.S. guitars used gold lined. The condition of this guitar is pretty good. Almost no scratches and dents. No corrosion on metal parts. The electric circuit is fine, look like brand new guitar (of course not brand new, anyway). This guitar will be shipped with hard case (not original).. If somebody interested in this historical guitar, just contact us! |
