Argus Kyowa Shokai - Chushin Gakki made original shape
The Manufacturer is Chushin Gakki which is currently manufacturing the Jackson guitar here.
You could find out their current WEB site. Kyowa is, as you may know, the
trading house here.
They distributed Gallan, Fresher, Camel and Argus...I don't know which
brand they are currently handling.
Anyway, Argus was top model brand of Kyowa in 80's.
I have Argus Les Paul CTM model. It is very good quality guitar too.
Well, Kyowa is still distributing the Argus brand as replacement guitar
parts.
This is good quality guitar than my thought. It looks like though neck
construction. However, I could not specify
it from the outlook. Maybe so...or just set in neck.
Well, it looks like Jackson pretty much.
The huge different is the Tremolo unit. This guitar has a SHIFT 2001 Tremolo
unit.
This Tremolo unit is designed by Argus (was sold like USD 300.00 as replacement
before).
It is good construction without Tremolo cavity. Here, still many people are looking for this unit.
I have checked it, it is O.K. I like it.
The neck, frets and electrical components are all fine, good condition.
I feel frets are a bit jumbo size with 24F. Scale like Strat.
Less 4 Kg weight body, I'm not sure which material, would be alder. The
neck would be Maple...
The nut width is 43.45mm.
Pretty good heavy metal or hard Rock guitar, If I use this guitar, I would
add the mini-switch for change
the single/humbucking... I need the single sound, so...
